I thought that when Mozilla released Firefox 57, code named Quantum, it would live up to the recent hype about how fast it would be.<\/p>\n

I did not find that to be the case.\u00a0 My home page is www.google.com and it would take almost 10 seconds to load it.\u00a0 That is ridiculously too slow.<\/p>\n

I did some research and found others had complained about slow response and freezing web browsers.\u00a0 The net result is a simple fix:\u00a0 turn off the Accessibility Services (if you don’t need it).<\/p>\n

  1. Click the menu button \"Fx57Menu\" <\/span> and choose Options<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Select the Privacy and Security<\/span> panel.<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the “Permissions” section.<\/li>\n
  4. Check the Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser<\/em> checkbox.<\/li>\n
  5. Restart Firefox.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Simple and sweet – and it works!<\/p>\n
